General Education Assessment
In 2019, the New Mexico Higher Education Department (NM HED) implemented a including a change in course numbering as well as the introduction of essential skills, or five skills that every student should be able to demonstrate upon successful completion of 腦瞳憫's general education curriculum. 腦瞳憫 faculty define these skills as follows:
- : Deliver versatile information in a clear manner, demonstrating an understanding of audience and content in response to a diverse range of situations.
- : Calculate, represent, apply, analyze, and communicate both quantitative and qualitative information.
- : Interpret, analyze, and evaluate claims to identify well-reasoned and substantiated arguments.
- : Cultivate an awareness of peoples cultures, examine social norms and power relations, apply ethical and moral reasoning, and recognize that complex identities are a source of individual and social strength with the ultimate goal of positively contributing to society through diversity, inclusion, and equity.
- : Reflectively locate, organize, analyze, and evaluate information across multiple platforms or media in order to apply that information to a defined question or problem.
